We have found our Sofia already!

Just so happens, she is a waiting child. Yes, she's been waiting on us since August 2, 2004 in
Xin Yang Henan China. Damon and I are completely beside ourselves with excitement.
Each new day brings new thoughts of our baby.
Kori and Kelli have adjusted so well to the idea of their new sister coming this summer that they
are arguing over who will get to sleep with her, and play with her first.

Sofi will need medical care when she arrives in the US, she is cleft lip/palate with some repairs
having been made in China. Her pediatrician says "no problem" he will refer us to specialists
in Memphis who will cater to our precious baby's needs.

It is just an absolute miracle from God that He would allow us to already know our daughter
this quick in the waiting game. I firmly believe He knows Sofia has waited long enough.
God is doing great things for China right now, and we are so blessed to be just a little part in this big plan.

We plan to post photos as soon as our scanner begins working again.
JUST FOR THE RECORD, IT WAS SNOWING HUGE WHEN WE FOUND OUR BABY'S FACE ON OUR AGENCY'S WEBSITE.

It has all been one mind-boggling affirmation after another. What a wonderful ride!
Proof positive that God loves the details, nothing is too small or big, and He is alive, and active
in our lives, whether we are participating with Him is ultimately our free will.
I for one shout from the rooftops that my Deliverer, my Teacher and my Friend is always with me and my family. He has always been with our Sofia. Praise God!

DTC already waiting on LID

That means our papers are gone to Beijing, we are just waiting on them to tell us they are there. Our expected referral date is now maybe all the way til December. That would be one long pregnancy. Time is gonna have to fly.

We are experiencing our first slight snow, so I better go and write it on the calendar, because snow has been a very popular theme with this adoption.

Xue - chinese for snow, sounds kinda like sooeh

Blog, really isn't there a more lovely word for it?

Just mailed out our dossier to GWCA. Whew 6 months of paper accumulation. Everything went off without a hitch. Glad to be done with the paperchase and now on to waiting for China to match us up with our baby Sofia.
